CSB scoops two medals anew in NCAA 96 speed kicking

The College of Saint Benilde (CSB) continued to display dominance in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Season 96 online taekwondo event.

CSB taekwondo jin Jose Mari Aiko Ong captured the gold medal while his teammate Clark Jayson Sacay bagged the silver in the men's heavyweight division of speed kicking competition Tuesday.

Ong, 21, scored an impressive 6.917 points while the 20-year-old Sacay was just points behind after tallying 6.650 as the two Benilde student-athletes ruled the eight-man field.

Glen Paul Salazar of the San Beda University wound up in third place as he notched 6.367 points.

Ryan James Fajardo came in fourth place after finishing with 6.058 points while settling at fifth place was Roi Vinson Belano of host Letran with 5.983.

Ramcess Bautista of Arellano University (5.800), Jan Camilo Bagaporo (5.708), and Al-Zalman Jamero (5.525) were the other participants.

On Monday, CSB also copped two medals after Matthew Cloyd Roxas and JV Anthony Villaron ruled the middleweight division with 6.408 and 6.383, respectively.
