CSB, Arellano rule NCAA 96 women's speed kicking welterweight, lightweight divisions

College of Saint Benilde and Arellano University were the latest gold winners in the NCAA Season 96 women's speed kicking event Sunday.

CSB taekwondo jin Loralee Natividad tallied 7.067 to notch the gold medal in the welterweight division.

Aliciarose Gonzales scored 6.400 to bring the silver medal to host Colegio de San Juan de Letran while another CSB student-athlete in Shiela Samson settled for bronze after scoring 6.317 points.

Rizza Rose Collado of San Beda University (6.275), Ella Mae Ronquillo of Mapua University (5.717) , and Armaelyn Agudulo (6.108) and Angelica Uyan (5.650) of Arellano completed the seven-player field.

Meanwhile in the lightweight division, Arellano's Pauline Gaye Rey scored 6.508 markers to dominate the division while her teammate in Francis Claire Apuya captured the bronze with her 6.250 finish.   

Rocio Cortez Diaz of CSB bagged the silver after collecting 6.433 points.

Another CSB talent in  Katrina Alpuerto wound up in fourth place after tallying 6.067 points while Kristine Kiamco of SBU (5.925), Princess Tordillos of San Sebastian College-Recoletos (5.600), and Mylene Bangcoyo of Arellano (4.575) were the other participants.
