What happened in NCAA Season 96: A recap

The National Collegiate Athletic Association proved that it could 'Rise Up Stronger' as it held its 96th season in 2021 despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

Aside from forging a partnership with broadcast giant GMA Network, the NCAA, hosted by Colegio de San Juan de Letran, did not let the pandemic stop its efforts for the development of student-athletes.

The NCAA last season held virtual competitions for taekwondo and poomsae, and chess, which were broadcast on GTV.

On the show "Rise Up Stronger," the league saw many of the athletes' stories of triumph amid challenges.

Here's a recap of what is considered to be a historic season for the NCAA:

Watch "Game On" every 10:30 a.m. until March 25. NCAA Season 97 will open on Saturday.
