The Arellano Chiefsquad extended its reign in NCAA Cheerleading as they ruled the Season 100 Cheerleading Competition on Thursday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Arellano's performance with a theme of 'Unstoppable' charmed the judges and the crowd as it scored 218 points to take home its sixth straight title in the cheerleading event.
For Chiefsquad head coach Lucky San Juan, maintaining their position on top of the NCAA Cheerleading event was harder this time around, especially with more rookies coming.
"'Yung mga nakaraang title namin, ang haba kasi ng playing years ng mga batang nandoon. Ito puro bago halos," San Juan said.
The University of Perpetual Help System DALTA ALTAs Perpsquad finished second with 213.5 points, while the Letran Cheering Squad placed third with 210.5 points.
Only nine teams participated in the competition as Lyceum of the Philippines University was not able to reach the minimum number of athletes required for the tournament.
Arellano's reign on the mats dates back to Season 92 in 2017.
