Arellano University extended its dominance in the NCAA Cheerleading Competition after the Arellano Chiefsquad captured its seventh straight championship on Thursday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Arellano scored 231 points to finish first in the contest.
The Chiefsquad first won the title in Season 92 and has since ruled the event, claiming the championship in the next six editions of the competition.
The victory also marked Arellano’s eighth overall title in the tournament.
The ALTAs Perps Squad, meanwhile, finished second with 221 points, while the Letran Cheering Squad placed third with 199.5 points.

It was also the fourth consecutive year that the same three teams occupied the podium in the competition.
