Arellano University head coach Obet Javier still has good words for Jose Rizal University despite his Lady Chiefs defeating them on Saturday in the NCAA Season 97 women's volleyball tournament.
"Maganda talaga nilaro ng JRU. Para sa akin ang galing ng middle nila, wala kami halos na-block sa kanila," Javier said in a post-game conference.
"Para sa akin yung performance ng JRU, [out of] 10, siguro 8 sila," he added.
Despite the 4-1 card, Javier believes the Lady Chiefs still have a lot to improve.
"'Yung performance ng team ko talagang malayo pa, kahit sabihin nating nananalo. Marami pa rin kaming mga kulang na kailangan i-improve," he said.
Javier admitted that with the season nearing its midpoint, teams are also improving and they should strive to be better.
"Marami pa ring teams na magagaling ang performance," Javier said. "Hindi kami puwede mag-relax. Kailangan natin magpursigi."
