Exciting volleyball action continues in the NCAA Season 97 women's volleyball tournament on Sunday at the Paco Arena in Manila.
San Beda University and the Emilio Aguinaldo College will try to get their first win of the season as both teams are currently at the bottom of the standings with 0-4. The Lady Red Spikers and the Lady Generals will clash at the 2:30 p.m. match.
Meanwhile at 12 pm, the University of Perpetual Help will try to bounce back against the San Sebastian College-Recoletos and make its case as the league nears its midpoint.
The Lady Altas fell short in a five-setter against Mapua University last Friday to give them a 2-2 card.
On the other hand, the 3-1 Lady Stags last Wednesday outlasted Jose Rizal University in a five-setter with Katherine Santos having 22 points in the said match.
Should SSC-R win, they will be tied at the second spot with Arellano University. However, if the match favored UPHSD, then the Lady Altas and the Lady Stags will join Lyceum of the Philippines University in the logjam at the middle of the standings with 3-2.
