College of Saint Benilde will try to preserve its unbeaten run when it takes on struggling University of Perpetual Help System DALTA on Wednesday in the NCAA Season 97 women's volleyball tournament.
CSB goes up against Perpetual at 2:30 p.m. with its unbeaten 7-0 slate at stake while Mapua University will seek to boost its playoff drive when it clashes with Colegio de San Juan de Letran at 12 p.m.
Perpetual is currently on a slide, losing its last four games against Mapua San Sebastian, JRU, and, just recently, Arellano University to drop to 2-5. Still, CSB will remain on top of its game.
"Siguro 'yung attitude namin sa court and 'yung endgame namin, masyado kaming nagiging complacent tapos akala namin tapos na 'yung game pero 'di pa naman tapos," said Gayle Pascual, one of CSB's main weapons.
"So plan namin i-workout 'yung composure namin sa loob ng court."
Meanwhile, Mapua will look to improve its standing against a Letran camp on a three-game losing streak as the league reaches the last week of the eliminations round
The Lady Cardinals are coming off a 25-22, 16-25, 18-25, 25-18, 15-12 thrilling victory over Lyceum last Sunday and a win over the Lady Knights will tighten Mapua's grip on solo fourth.
