CSB coach Jerry Yee shares what worries him as Lady Blazers inch closer to NCAA finals berth

Even with an unblemished 8-0 slate so far in the NCAA Season 97 women's volleyball tournament, that doesn't mean College of Saint Benilde has nothing to worry about, at least according to head coach Jerry Yee.

Yee stressed that the spotless record shouldn't go to the Lady Blazers' heads, especially before an all-important duel with four-peat seeking Arellano University this Saturday.

Should Benilde win, the Lady Blazers would earn an automatic finals ticket while forcing a knockout stepladder semifinals for the second, third, and fourth seed teams.

"'Pag naniwala na sila na pwede na kaming mag-relax, 'pag naniwala na sila na magaling sila o kumpleto na 'yung game, na wala na kami kailangan i-trabaho, 'di na kailangang magalala, 'yung 'yung worry ko," said Yee.

"Ayoko na mag-let go sila ng guard nila, lagi sila dapat nakabantay kahit sino 'yung kalaban."

The Lady Blazers have been simply dominant in the past eight outings, dropping just one set against Colegio de San Juan de Letran while sweeping all the other games.

But Yee warned his wards to remain humble and play like underdogs as they eye to bring back the crown to Taft.

"And sana tapusin, [kasi] 'yun 'yung masakit eh, 'pag 'di namin natapos 'to," he added.

"'Pag 'di namin natapos 'to, eh kasalanan namin."
