Mary Rhose Dapol and rookie Shai Omipon towed University of Perpetual Help System DALTA past Emilio Aguinaldo College, 25-21, 26-24, 25-16, on Sunday in the NCAA Season 98 women's volleyball tournament at San Andres Sports Complex in Manila.
Dapol tallied 17 points off 14 attacks and three service aces while rookie Shai Omipon had 16 attack points in the straight sets victory.
Cath Almazan registered 14 points, the only double digit scorer, in the EAC loss.
Perpetual will face Arellano University next on EAC will try to bounce back as they face De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde on Wednesday.
