Joshua Ramilo detonated for a triple-double outing to steer Emilio Aguinaldo College to a five-set victory over San Beda University, 26-24, 25-20, 25-27, 17-25, 15-10, in the NCAA Season 98 men's volleyball tournament on Friday.
Ramilo finished with 26 points along with 20 receptions and 10 digs as EAC improved to 3-1 while San Beda dropped to an even 2-2 card.
It was a twin victory for the host school as the Lady Generals carved out a similar five-set escape of San Beda earlier to barge into the win column of the women's division.
Meanwhile, Colegio de San Juan de Letran pulled off a 25-21, 25-21, 22-25, 25-22 triumph over San Sebastian College-Recoletos.
Vince Himzon paced the Knights with 26 points on 21 attacks and five blocks while Michael Doria and Byron Nicolas chipped in 19 and 16 markers each as Letran hiked its standing to 2-2.
San Sebastian, on the other hand, slipped to 1-3.
