Perpetual recovers from third set collapse vs Letran, moves to solo second

 

The University of Perpetual Help System DALTA survived a gutsy Colegio de San Juan de Letran squad, recovering after falling short in the third set, 25-23, 25-21, 30-32, 25-19, on Sunday in the NCAA Season 98 women's volleyball tournament at the San Andres Sports Complex in Manila.

Super rookie Shaila Omipon tallied 24 points while Mary Rhose Dapol had 20 points.

Judiel Nitura had 16 points while Lea Tapang and Cha Cuñada had 12 and 10 points, respectively.

The Perpetual win put them to solo second in the standings with a 6-1 record, while Letran went down to 4-3.

The Lady ALTAs will see action on Friday against Lyceum of the Philippines University before wrapping their campaign against Mapua University,

Letran, on the other hand, will face LPU on Tuesday and Arellano University on Saturday.
