De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde and Colegio de San Juan de Letran will go against each other in the NCAA Season 99 women's volleyball best-of-three finals beginning on Sunday.
The Lady Blazers went straight to the finals by sweeping all of its elimination round games, while Letran finished no. 2 with seven wins and two losses, and defeated last season's finalist Lyceum of the Philippines University in the stepladder semis to book a rare finals appearance.
During the two teams' elimination round faceoff, Benilde swept Letran, 25-18, 25-21, 25-19.
Gayle Pascual led the Taft-based squad with 12 points, along with eight digs, while Wielyn Estoque had 11 points during the said game.
No player scored in double digits for the Intramuros crew as rookie Gia Maquilang was limited to nine points.
One glaring difference, however, was the number of excellent sets each team had as Cloanne Mondonedo made 19 out of the team's 20, while Letran only had nine from Nat Estreller.
Here is the stat sheet for the said game.
