Benilde squads make quick work of San Sebastian for 3-0 start 

De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde made quick work of San Sebastian College-Recoletos in both their men’s and women’s games in the NCAA Season 100 volleyball tournament at the Lyceum of the Philippines University gym in Manila.

The two Benilde teams improved to 3-0 in the tourney.

The Lady Blazers overcame the Lady Stags’ early lead in the set and recovered just in time to complete a 25-20, 25-13, 25-21 sweep in a match which lasted for only an hour and ten minutes.

Wielyn Estoque shone on both sides of the floor with 15 attacks anchored on 14 attacks and an ace, along with six digs, while Clydel Catarig and Zam Nolasco had 12 and 11 points, respectively.

Kath Santos led the Lady Stags with 12 points, while Tina Marasigan added 10 points as San Sebastian absorbed its first loss. 

Earlier, the Blazers dominated the Stags, 25-17, 25-23, 25-21, in a match which lasted for an hour and eleven minutes.

Rocky Roy Motol led the Taft-based squad anew with 16 points, with Arnel Christian Aguilar adding 13 points.

Kyle Villamor had 13 points, while Justine Santos had 10 points for the Stags who remained winless in three games.
