Colegio de San Juan de Letran remained unbeaten in four games after sweeping Lyceum of the Philippines University, 25-18, 25-18, 26-24, on Friday in the NCAA Season 100 women's volleyball tournament at the Arellano University gym in Manila.
The Lady Pirates led in the third set 19-15 before the Lady Knights managed to make a 3-0 run from Gia Maquilang and back-to-back points from Vanessa Sarie. An LPU attack error tied the set at 19 before the two teams went neck-and-neck anew. Sarie put Letran at match point, 25-24, before she eventually capped the match with a service ace.
Sarie had 17 points along with eight digs and seven excellent receptions to be among the Lady Knights' leaders, while Judiel Nitura had 16 points as Letran improved to 4-0.
Stacey Lopez led LPU with 10 points as the Lady Pirates slipped to 1-4.
Earlier, the Letran Knights also swept LPU, 25-16, 25-18, 25-20, to return to the win column after back-to-back losses against Mapua University and De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde.
Vince Himzon led the Knights with 15 points anchored on 10 attacks, while Ralph Lorenz Vicente had 11 points as Letran improved to 2-2.
John Bert Cielo, meanwhile, had 13 points to lead the Pirates who remained winless in five games.
Letran teams will face Emilio Aguinaldo College next on Thursday.
