De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde and Mapua University banner Group A, while Colegio de San Juan de Letran and Arellano University headline Group B for the NCAA Season 101 volleyball tournament.
The groupings were based on last season’s women’s volleyball Final Four standings, with finalists Benilde and Letran placed in separate groups, followed by third- and fourth-placers Arellano and Mapua.
A draw of lots was conducted Friday at the Letran campus in Intramuros to complete the groupings.
Group A:
- De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde
- Mapua University
- San Sebastian College–Recoletos
- Jose Rizal University
- University of Perpetual Help System DALTA
Group B:
- Colegio de San Juan de Letran
- Arellano University
- Lyceum of the Philippines University
- San Beda University
- Emilio Aguinaldo College
Coaches from the volleyball teams or their representatives were present during the draw.
The same groupings and format will also be implemented in the men’s division, following the format used in the basketball tournament.
The NCAA Season 101 volleyball tournament opens on January 23.
