Axel Van Book led the Red Spikers on both ends of the floor with 13 points, highlighted by three blocks and three aces, along with eight receptions and three digs.
Anrie Bakil and Alener Munsing provided additional firepower, scoring 13 and 12 points, respectively.
Jun Frank Edang paced the Pirates with 13 points in the loss.
San Beda returns to action on Wednesday against Emilio Aguinaldo College, while LPU looks to bounce back when it faces Arellano University on Tuesday.
