Lyceum of the Philippines University swept Emilio Aguinaldo College, 25-15, 25-19, 25-23, on Sunday to secure its first victory in the NCAA Season 101 women’s volleyball tournament at the San Andres Sports Complex in Manila.
Ashley Muchillas and Johna Dolorito led the Lady Pirates with 12 and 11 points, respectively, with Dolorito also tallying seven receptions. Cara Dayanan added nine points for LPU.
EAC, meanwhile, remained winless after three games in the women’s division.
In the men’s division, Jan Ruther Abor erupted for 32 points—off 30 attacks and two blocks—to lead the Generals past the Pirates. Frelwin Taculog provided ample support with 28 points, along with 28 receptions and five digs.
EAC improved to 2-1, while LPU stayed winless after four games.
