Colegio de San Juan de Letran kept its unbeaten record intact after sweeping Jose Rizal University, 25-17, 25-12, 25-21, on Friday in the NCAA Season 101 women’s volleyball tournament at the San Andres Sports Complex.
The match lasted just one hour and 26 minutes as the Lady Knights improved to 6-0 in Group B.
Nicen Colendra led the Intramuros-based squad with 18 points built on 17 attacks and an ace. Vanessa Sarie added 14 points along with eight receptions.
Lara Mae Silva anchored the defense with 19 digs and eight receptions, while Nat Estreller orchestrated the offense with 23 of Letran’s 24 excellent sets and chipped in six points.
Cza Ramos was the lone double-digit scorer for the Lady Bombers with 10 points, while Kring Batara contributed nine as JRU fell to 1-6 in Group A.
Letran returns to action on Sunday against San Sebastian College-Recoletos, while JRU faces Arellano University on Wednesday.
