NCAA: Bea Udarbe, Pranger Tahilludin named MVPs in San Beda's beach volleyball title runs

Bea Udarbe and Pranger Tahiluddin starred in San Beda University's individual awards haul as the Lady Red Spikers and Red Spikers ruled the women's and men's divisions on Sunday.

Udarbe bagged all the individual honors in the women's division after being recognized as the Rookie of the Year, Freshman of the Year, and Most Valuable Player.

The first-year ace led San Beda to an 18-21, 21-7, 15-8 comeback victory over De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde in the finals alongside teammate Marielle Teves.

Tahiluddin was likewise honored as the men's MVP after helping the Red Spikers overcome Benilde in the championship round, 21-17, 14-21, 15-13, and capture their first-ever beach volleyball title.

Maximuz Lopez of Colegio de San Juan de Letran was named Rookie of the Year while Mark Jun Rosales was handed the Freshman of the Year plum.

Roderick Medino of Mapua University seized both the Rookie of the Year and Freshman of the Year honors in the juniors rank while his teammate Jasper Afgao was hailed as the MVP as Letran ruled the high school division.
