Amita O. Legaspi is a news editor for GMA News Online. Fulfilling her childhood dream, she took up Journalism in college and never looked back since.
She initially covered the police and local government when she started her career in 1999. She was eventually assigned to cover the courts; politics, both the executive branch and legislative chambers; justice and human rights; defense; peace and order, and foreign relations, among others.
She joined GMA News Online in 2005 and became its first writer/desk person. She slowly rose from the ranks from being a junior reporter to senior reporter to chief of reporters to her position now. Assignments, coverages, and trainings, both here and abroad, further honed her skills and expanded her experience and network.
Aside from being a journalist, she is also a loving mother to her son Radcliffe.
