Marisse Panaligan is a news editor for GMA News Online, where she writes and edits stories on lifestyle and entertainment. She began her career as a sports reporter and previously served as segment producer for GMA News and Public Affairs’ digital newscast Stand for Truth.

Marisse studied journalism at the University of the Philippines Diliman. She also holds a joint master’s degree in Journalism, Media, and Globalization from University of Hamburg in Germany and Aarhus University in Denmark under the Erasmus Mundus program. In her free time, she likes to watch anime and read literature classics.
