"I read this book before that talks about it takes a village to raise a family. First and foremost, when you go through a divorce, you have to take seminars in the US that teach you how to co-parent, meaning, kung ano man ang naging issues sa mag-asawa, you have to put that behind you and focus on the well-being of the child."

"JP's dad and I both agreed that we would really put the past behind us and help raise him together. The term is co-parenting. We co-parented my son. Sa ngayon, wala namang problema dahil sa FaceTime. So kung may issue, kaming dalawa ang nando'n. Kumbaga his dad is there and I'm there," anang aktres.

"I'm actually divorced. Na-finalize siya nu'ng December last year. And then nalaman ko, kasi Filipino citizen din ako... so I'm only going to start now na sa annulment process."

"I was married in the US, pero hindi pa kasi ako Filipino citizen nu'ng ikinasal kami. Tapos nu'ng naghiwalay kami, akala ko divorce would be enough because sa US kami ikinasal. Then nalaman ko, 'pag Filipino citizen ka, you also have to get an annulment," paliwanag niya.

"One of the reasons why alam ko na nakapag-move on na ako is because 'yung son ko went to visit his dad for three months. It was the first time his dad asked him to go and nu'ng una, parang ayaw ko, kasi parang ang sama-sama ng loob ko. But I realized na meron pa rin akong mga hang-ups sa nangyari so I have to get over it," patuloy niya.

"The fact na nakapag-visit siya sa tatay niya for three months already, parang naayos na rin niya 'yung homesickness niya sa tatay niya 'cause he does miss his dad. But JP has a lot of father figure here in the Philippines.

"So far, ang nasasabi niya, he doesn't feel the emptiness because at the end of the day. I always tell my son na whether together o hiwalay, if you focus on your earthly father, lahat naman tayo nagkakamali. -- FRJ, GMA News
