Last farewells for ex-PRC chair Leonor T. Rosero
Family, friends and colleagues gave their last farewells for the late former chairperson of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), Dr. Leonor Tripon-Rosero, who succumbed to breast cancer Wednesday morning. Her remains were cremated Saturday in Parañaque. The former PRC chair completed her dentistry studies and training at the University of the East and graduated Cum Laude in 1968. She placed Second in the Dental Board Examinations given also in 1968. She was Board Examiner for Dentistry from 2002 to 2003, PRC Commissioner from 2003 to 2004, Acting PRC Chairperson from 2004 to 2005 and PRC Chairperson from 2005 to 2008. Current PRC Chairperson Teresita Manzala was represented by PRC Commissioner Alfredo Po at the wake. Other PRC officials and personnel went to the wake Thursday to pay their respects and offer the condolences, according to Rosero's sons, Ron and Oneal. The Rosero siblings also said among those who attended the wake and expressed their sympathies included many close friends such as former Finance Secretary Gary Teves, former Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. Chairman Efren Genuino, and Chairman of the Lina Group of Companies Alberto Lina. Also at the wake were former PRC Chair Antonette Ibe, and many other friends from Rotary Clubs, professional associations, relatives and neighbors from Tahanan Village. â ELR, GMA News
