The People’s Award of MIPIM Asia, introduced for the first time this year, cuts across all categories of awardees, totaling 117 projects from 12 countries that entered this year’s competition. The Zuellig Building also won Bronze for the “Best in Office and Business Development” category alongside two other premium developments: 50 Connaught Road Central in Hong Kong and Tianjin Financial Center in China. The Zuellig Building is the first and only contender from the Philippines in this year’s MIPIM Asia awards.

MIPIM, with its roots in Cannes, France, is among the most prestigious and influential global conferences and exhibitions that bring together prominent property-related companies and professionals world-wide. Each year an impressive mix of innovative and ambitious real estate projects is recognized for design efficiency and excellence.
This year’s MIPIM Asia Awards high-profile jury, headed by Mr. Vincent H.S. Lo, Chairman of the Shui On Group, met in Hong Kong to examine all 117 projects. Mainland China, Singapore and Malaysia dominate the list of entries with respectively 55, 14 and 10 projects. Mainland China’s participation has notably increased by almost 90% compared to 2011. Submissions also came from Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates and Vietnam.
