Musica FEUropa, the annual Far Eastern University (FEU)/European Union (EU) choral competition has announced that it is now accepting entries for its fifth season. The only European Union-supported choral competition in the Philippines, Musica FEUROPA V is scheduled to be held on May 24 and 25 at the historic FEU Auditorium.

Interested choirs may join any of two categories: High School and Open. The High School Choir category is open to secondary level school choral groups and carries a top prize of P25,000 while the Open Choir category accommodates college, university, church, corporate, government and other adult choirs and features a grand prize of 1,000 euros.

Musica FEUropa V is co-produced by FEU’s Admissions and External Relations Office, FEU President’s Committee on Culture (FEU-PCC), the Delegation of the European Union in the Philippines, the Philippine Choral Director’s Association and DZFE 98.7 FM, the country’s only classical radio station.
Musica FEUROPA promotes both Filipino and European musical composers and prepares Philippine-based choirs for competitions in Europe. It is held in May to celebrate the European Union Month in the Philippines as well as the Filipinas Heritage Month.
