Bosch, Skil hold mid-year power tool sale

Bosch, the world’s leading supplier of professional power tools, measuring tools and accessories, recently held a one-day Bosch and Skil Power Tool Sale at Handyman, Robinsons Galleria. To give consumers more value for their money, Bosch offered discounts of up to 50 percent off on selected Bosch and Skil items and gave away a free Skil 2536 screwdriver for every purchase of a Skil 2888 cordless drill driver.

 

Apart from the big discounts and freebies, exciting hands-on activities were also done at the Sunday kick-off event, which was hosted by model-actress Phoemela Baranda. The Skil Power Four (Skil P4), Skil’s family brand ambassadors, were also onsite to entertain kids with a fun puzzle game while their parents were engaged at the activity stations and display areas.

 

Four activity stations, namely the cordless station, measuring tools station, Bosch accessories station and Skil station, were set-up around the venue to give consumers a chance to experience a selection of quality Bosch and Skil tools and to win exciting prizes at each station. Bosch and Skil cordless drills, sanders, grinders, jigsaws and a laser rangefinder were among the products displayed at the different stations.

 

The biggest and most thrilling activity onsite was the Bosch and Skil Power Tool Drilling Challenge. The competition drew more than 50 participants, all of whom were tasked to do three screw-and-assemble challenges. From the ten participants who qualified for the elimination round, only three advanced to the final round. 

 

Elvie Dagami, a sales lady residing in Cainta, was hailed the Drilling Challenge Champion after she assembled the word Bosch in the fastest time possible. She received a 4-in-1 tool Skil Combo Kit (cordless tool set), a Starmobile tablet, a Skil workbench and a Bosch Drill GSB 16RE. A first time tool-user, Dagami expressed that she loved fixing things around her house.

 

Restaurant staff member Escol Cesar placed second and received a Skil Combo Kit (cordless tool set) and a mountain bike, while third place winner Rodel Espejo, an equipment distributor and experienced user of competitive tools, won a Skil Combo Kit (cordless tool set) and a Samsung mobile phone. The seven runners-up also received a Skil 2536 screwdriver as a consolation prize.
