Trailer for 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon' sequel released by Netflix

News of both a prequel and sequel to the martial arts epic "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" circulated in 2014, but rumors and speculations can now be put to rest as the first full trailer for "Sword of Destiny" is released by Netflix.

Earlier reports stated that "Sword of Destiny" would be an adaptation of the fifth installment in the Crane Iron Pentalogy, "Iron Knight, Silver Vase." The book tells the story of the son of Princess Jen (portrayed by Zhang Ziyi). Little is revealed in the trailer that went online on December 7.

It is clear, however, that Michelle Yeoh will be reprising her role as Yu Shu Lien. Joining her is Donnie Yen, of "IP Man" fame, as Silent Wolf and the pair will be directed by the martial arts choreographer from the first film, Yuen Woo-ping.

The original film, directed by Ang Lee, went on to win Best Foreign Language Film in the 73rd Academy Awards. It was also nominated for Best Picture, but lost to Ridley Scott's "Gladiator."
