Trinity University of Asia Unveils New Institute of Business and Management

Trinity University of Asia (TUA) celebrated a major milestone with the launch of its new Institute of Business and Management (TUA-IBAM). The event, held at the University Theater at TUA, showcased the university's bold commitment to innovation and excellence in business education.

TUA-IBAM, which now houses the School of Business and Accountancy, the School of Tourism and Hospitality, the School of Real Estate Management, and the Graduate School of Business, is dedicated to preparing students for leadership roles in an increasingly dynamic business landscape. The Institute aims to produce world-class graduates equipped with the skills and knowledge to excel in their chosen fields.

The event opened with Industry Spotlight, a panel discussion featuring five industry leaders who provided insights into current trends and future challenges in business, real estate, tourism, and hospitality. This engaging discussion set the tone for the day and emphasized the critical role of industry partnerships in shaping the future of education.

In her keynote address, University President Dr. Gisela DA. Luna emphasized TUA-IBAM's mission to produce globally competitive graduates. “TUA aims to bridge the gap between academic theory and practical application to prepare our graduates to not just participate in the industry but to innovate and lead. This institute reflects our dedication to staying ahead in today’s evolving business landscape,” she stated. “Our goal is to produce world-class graduates who will lead with integrity and innovation.”

VP for Administration and Finance, Ms. Matilde C. Asuncion, introduced the Barsam Corporate Center, the future home of TUA-IBAM. “Barsam Corporate Center is our commitment to innovation in education,” she said. “It will be a space where students and faculty come together to turn ideas into action.”

VP for Academic Affairs, Dr. Howell T. Ho, reinforced TUA-IBAM’s dedication to excellence in education. “Our schools are designed to foster strategic thinking, ethical leadership, and service excellence,” he noted. “Excellence is at the core of everything we do.”

Dean of TUA-IBAM, Dr. Fernando V. Trinidad III, concluded the event with a call for teamwork. “TUA-IBAM is not just an academic institute—it's a community built on collaboration, where we work together to create opportunities and rise to challenges.”

The event also included the unveiling of the TUA-IBAM seal, a cultural performance, and an audiovisual media on the Institute’s schools and programs. A press conference and networking session followed at the President’s Executive Lounge. For more information about TUA-IBAM, please visit www.tua.edu.ph/ibam.
