UPHSD included in 2025 WURI university rankings
The University of Perpetual Help System DALTA (UPHSD) Las Piñas campus has been ranked 139th among the Global Top Innovative Universities of the prestigious World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) in 2025.
The university was ranked in key global categories, placing 8th among the top 100 in ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) Trends, 22nd among the top 100 in Infrastructure and Technologies, and 24th among the top 100 in Visionary Leadership.
According to WURI’s website, 1253 institutions from 87 countries participated in the rankings for 2025.
Innovative programs are submitted by higher education institutions to WURI. These are evaluated through a blind review process and sent to an evaluation board.
Last month, UPHSD also earned a spot in another prestigious education ranking system, the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings.
“Our rankings are a testament to our efforts at innovation in education with an eye towards quality, excellence and leadership for the future,” said UPSHD president Anthony M. Tamayo.
“These are milestones come just as we are celebrating our 50th founding anniversary this year. These achievements will definitely inspire us in our mission to contribute to nation-building.”
WURI assesses the programs and initiatives of higher education institutions in terms of real contributions to society and industry.
According to its website, WURI uses 16 categories which “encompass innovation targets and methods, offering a comprehensive measure of institutions’ creative contributions to societal advancement."
The ranking aims to "spotlight higher education institutions that excel in these innovative approaches, thereby inspiring advancements across the academic and societal landscape.”
