Sta. Monica parish in Pinamungajan, Cebu opens 'Thrift Shop for a cause'
The Sta. Monica Parish church in Pinamungajan, Cebu has started a thrift shop that sells second hand clothes and the proceeds of the sale will be used for local projects, Parish Priest Fr. Dave Villaceran shared to GMA News.
Pinamungajan is a coastal municipality in the southwestern part of Cebu island and located approximately 70 kilometers from Cebu City.
The Thrift Shop, according to the announcement posted by the parish, is an initiative of the Parish Caritas to raise funds to finance various parish programs.
These programs are the feeding programs of the chapels within the jurisdiction of the parish, charitable activities and to fund the church's pastoral and social services.
"Kung adunay kamo'y hinlo ug magamit pa nga sinina, sapatos, bag, gamit sa balay, libro, dulaan, ug uban pang butang, mahimo ninyo kining i donate ug i drop off sa atong Parish Office," the parish announced.
(If you have clean and usable clothes, shoes, bags, household items, books, toys, and other items, you can donate them and drop them off at our Parish Office.)
"Adto na ug pamalit! Barato na, makatabang pa ka sa mga programa sa atong Parokya."
(Let us go shopping! The items are cheap and you can even help with our Parish's programs.)
The Thrift Shop, which is located near the church's BEC Store, is open on Sundays. — BAP, GMA News
