Facebook brings sharing to mobile users
Mobile users of social networking site Facebook can now do the equivalent of a retweet of posts, photos – and of course, memes – thanks to a new Share button on Facebook's updated mobile app. In a blog post, Facebook's Aditya Koolwal said this allows Facebook users on the move to share stories or posts very quickly. "This gives people a fast way to share stories with friends from their mobile phones, just as they can from their computers," he said. He added the Share button is included in the Facebook apps for devices running Google's Android, Apple's iOS, and the Facebook mobile website. A separate article on TechCrunch said the feature had been a "much-requested" one. "Facebook has always been about personal updates, not blindly passing on links, but it could start looking a lot like Twitter soon," it said. TechCrunch said the Share button is a boon for mobile users, who may have difficulty typing on their devices. "Oh, and your memes and cat photos are going to go viral like never before," it added. — LBG, GMA News
