A 20-year-old Filipina caught the attention of New York Magazine's entertainment section, Vulture. She's not a supermodel, nor a famous celebrity. But she garnered more than 2.6 million followers on her Twitter page. (To which Anne Curtis would probably say, "2.6 mil? That's cute!")

Unlike Anne Curtis, however, Clara Quiambao was in Vulture's '30 people the Internet Needs You to Know' list—nestled in among Vine comedians, YouTube stars, beauty and style icons, and a Justin Bieber look-alike.

Quiambao created and currently manages "It's a Teen Thing", a Twitter page where she regularly tweets out "pithy, inspirational quotes" that seem to cater to the typical emotionally struggling, lovelorn millennials from all over the world.

Coconuts Manila
tracked her down and found out that the unknowing Internet celebrity is a mass communications student who will soon graduate from Centro Escolar University.

"OMG," she told Coconuts Manila. "I didn't know I was included!—Really?!"

The first of her 92,600 tweets was posted five years ago, when her friends encouraged her to make a separate account solely dedicated to her emotionally-packed quotes on life and love.

"People were telling me to make another account because I love posting these things. So I did!"

She tweets about 40 times a day, with a 30-minute interval, according to the Coconuts Manila report. She has already made money out of her Twitter page, but as to how much, the article did not elaborate. — Kim Luces/VC, GMA News
