Facebook down worldwide, June 19

UPDATED Netizens around the world could not access the site since shortly after 4 p.m. PHL time, with members getting an error message when trying to log in. The site came back online approximately 30 minutes later.

 

"Sorry, something went wrong... We're working on getting this fixed as soon as we can," read the error message on Facebook.com.

 

The full extent of the outage is still undertermined as of posting time, but users in the Philippines, the US, the UK, and India have reported being affected. 

 

The UK's The Guardian said that "Users worldwide are unable to access the social network as it suffers website failure."

 

India's IBNLive.com said the outage "appears to have impacted many countries globally."
 

Facebook's Twitter account made no indication the networking giant has acknowledged the problem. — Joel Locsin/TJD, GMA News
