Python causes scare in Pangasinan police station

A python caused a scare at a police station in Pangasinan province after it became aggressive and tried to escape Tuesday night.

 

Residents had captured the python and brought it to the police station in Mangaldan town, GMA Dagupan reported Wednesday.

 

The residents had spotted the python near a river in Barangay Embarcadero at about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.

 

Police had let the python out of its sack to measure it but it reportedly became aggressive, and tried to crawl up a window.

 

Authorities estimated the python was nine to 10 feet long and weighed seven to eight kilos, and was as thick as a child's leg, the report said.

 

Residents helped place the python back in the sack.
