What would you do if you were a bride and your bridal car remained unavailable an hour before your wedding?

For Facebook user Lilith Villamor, the solution was simple: take an Uber to the church.

In a post, she said she was supposed to leave her hotel by 9 a.m. But 20 minutes past the scheduled time, the bridal car remained nowhere in sight.

It turned out that the driver left the keys to the car inside its compartment.

Thinking quickly, she decided to book an Uber ride.

A few minutes later, a black Toyota Innova picked her up. Her wedding coordinators were even able to put flowers on the vehicle.

"Habang nasa car, nagtatawanan na lang kaming 3 (4 kasama c uberdriver) dahil kakaiba nga daw. mejo nagulat pa ata c kuya nung unang kta nia saken," she wrote.

Despite the glitch, Villamor arrived at the church ahead of schedule.

The driver Ernesto, who said he was a Christian, prayed over Villamor before she made her bridal march.

“Kaya laki ng pasalamat ko sa uber. syempre apir din sa sarili ko at hindi ako nag beastmode sa bridal car.HAHA,” she joked.

Villamor ended her story by urging other brides, perhaps half-jokingly, to ditch bridal cars and get a transportation network company to take them to their wedding.

“Anong sabi ng 101 php na pamasahe ko sa libo na pag hire sa bridal car. pero kung trip mo mag hire ng jaguar o ng limo o ng convertible o kung ano pa man, go lng. importante makarating kau sa ceremony,” she said. —Trisha Macas/JST, GMA News
