'Carrot Man' touches netizens' hearts after crying on 'Wowowin'
Jeyrick Sigmaton a.k.a "Carrot Man" once again took the Twitter-verse by storm after his emotional guesting on variety show "Wowowin" aired on Thursday afternoon.
Sigmaton, a 21-year-old Igorot farm worker in Mountain Province, attracted the attention of netizens last week after his photo took by a tourist went viral on social media.
After he was located by the Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho team in Cordillera, he went to Manila and shared his story on several GMA-7 programs.
The eldest of seven children, Sigmaton stopped attending school to help his family earn a living. He said, however, that he still wants to continue his education.
The charming lad, whose looks have been compared to K-pop stars, broke into tears as his idol Willie Revillame granted his wish with a promise to shoulder the rest of his schooling.
Asked about his dream, Sigmaton said he just wants to finish school to lift his family out of poverty and lead a simple life.
The studio audience went teary-eyed with his story and even netizens could not help but be touched with his humility.
