Duterte stickers to be released on Viber after SONA

Change is coming... to the Viber messaging app.

Malacañang on Friday gave a glimpse of Viber stickers set to be released after the first State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday.

Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar launched the stickers in Taguig City Thursday night.

“Part of our role of is to reach out directly to the people which Viber allows us to do. We believe that when citizens engage with the government, they become partners for change,” he said.

The #ViberForChange pack includes stickers “May Gad!”, “I Hate Drugs!”, “S.T.O.P.”, “Ambot”, “Daghang Salamat”, and “Just Du It!”

They were taken from Duterte’s campaign slogans.

The Presidential Communications Office has previously launched a Viber Public Chatroom to provide news and updates on Duterte’s activities to Viber users.

“Anything goes in the world of social media,” Andanar said.

“But we encourage citizen engagement, making them part of the process for positive change in the country,” he added. —JST, GMA News
