Isabelle Daza recently came under fire for an Instagram story post, where she was seen squashing a business card that her sister handed to her a la the Japanese.

Very many netizens thought it was culturally insensitive.

On Tuesday, Isabelle sent a statement to Preview Magazine, after the fashion magazine reached out to the ‘It’ girl.

Said Daza, ‘It was a private joke that I did with my sister Ava. That’s basically it. It annoys me sometimes that my sister does it because she’s not Japanese. It’s satire.” — LA, GMA News
