Megan Young and Laura Lehmann ask netizens to stop pageant 'camp wars'

Miss World 2013 Megan Young asked netizens to stop alleged pageant "camp wars" that has been occurring on social media sites after the Miss Universe 2017 pageant.

On Twitter, Megan said Philippine bet to Miss Universe Rachel Peters made everyone proud and denied that different pageant camps have been clashing against each other.

Peters advanced to the Top 10 but failed to make it as one of the top 5 finalists, this caused a stir among Peters' fans.

Some netizens have been reprimanding Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, saying her being a judge to this year's pageant had something to do with Peters not advancing to the Q&A round.

They cite the two are from different pageant camps. Peters is from Kagandahang Flores a pageant camp led by Rodgil Flores, while Wurtzbach trained with Aces & Queens which is led by Jonas Gaffud.

Other queens who trained with Aces & Queens are Megan (Miss World 2013), Venus Raj (4th runner-up, 2010), Shamcey Supsup (3rd runner-up, 2011), Janine Tugonon (2012, 1st runner-up), Ariella Arida (3rd runner-up, 2013),  Pia Wurtzbach (Miss Universe 2015) and Kylie Verzosa (Miss International 2016).

On the other hand, queens from Kagandahang Flores include Lara Quigaman (Miss International 2005), Bea Rose Santiago (Miss International 2013), and Karen Ibasco (Miss Earth 2017).

Miss World Philippines 2017 Laura Lehmann who also trained with Aces & Queens, retweeted Megan's post and agreed with a note.

“Filipinas support Filipinas. Regardless of camp. Regardless of organization. We are always stronger when we are united,” Lehmann wrote.
