Behind the scenes of family Christmas celebrations

It’s the family’s most wonderful time of the year—thanks to this person’s hard work.  While kids and the not-so-young count down the days to Christmas, one family member makes it an experience to remember for everyone: the mom who takes over all the holiday fuss.

To make kids excited about the holiday, moms begin by turning their homes into a Christmas wonderland complete with a wreath by the door, a lighted parol, and a Christmas tree. She also plays songs about the season to keep the holiday spirit going.

At the mall, she picks clothes her family will wear to the big day.  She also rolls out her list of gifts to buy for family and friends. Wasting no time, she would personally wrap the items and place them neatly under the Christmas tree.

Weeks before Noche Buena, she envisions the table spread and lists the dishes she will prepare. On the day itself, she does some last minute shopping while ordering sweets online. Still not satisfied, she puts final touches on her already bedecked home at the same time coaching her youngest kid into preparing macaroni salad.

The hustle and bustle of the season can be overwhelming—even for multi-tasking moms. Things that could go wrong will go wrong.
