Dress code memorandums make Valentine's Day more colorful

Wearing black to protest this day for lovers? You're not alone. Black has been identified as the color to wear to express negative feelings on February 14 by at least two "official" memorandums.

The Office of the City Mayor in Naga issued the dress code for city hall officers and employees on Tuesday, in preparation for Valentine's Day.

The memo assigned colors for those who are taken, taken for granted, solo for life, tuliro, and those who have been "waiting since birth." (Ouch!)

The Student Executive Council of San Beda College in Alabang also encouraged students "to wear the colors assigned to their respected status."

Whereas red was the default color to signify being in a relationship, pink means "simpleng landian lang."

Blue was assigned as the color for those moving on, but for those who are still holding the torch, there's bluer than blue (navy blue).

Those who don't participate? Marked as KJ! — LA, GMA News
