Admiring reaction from parents surprised by graduating son

His parents were not expecting that he would graduate this May because he had flunked a subject, but this college student did everything he could to make his parents proud.

In this Facebook post, Rofherson Canones Suzon's mother turned emotional when he broke the news to them that he is graduating next month.

While his mother was crying, his father got up, hugged Rofherson and showered him with kisses.

The Facebook post has gone viral with 250,000 views and 13,000 likes.

Rofherson told GMA News' YouScoop that he did not expect his video post to become viral. He said this must be because because the video shows his parents' "appreciation and love" for him.

He said after flunking a subject in the last semester, he took more subjects during the last semester to graduate.

In the video, Rofherson gave his father a certification of candidacy for graduation and graduation photos enclosed in a white envelope.

His father is a tricycle driver and his mother works as a maintenance staff in a school. —ALG, GMA News
