Remember Nanay Sinta? She was finally able to open a bank account and get home renovations

Viral vegetable vendor Jacinta "Sinta" Balagtas, 83, will finally be able to take it easy.

For most of her life, Nanay Sinta has struggled to sell vegetables from her wooden cart on the streets of Navotas every day.

Even at her old age, she continues to work hard to be able to support her 52-year old daughter Kristina, who has been blind since she was two because of measles.

Nanay Sinta was one of the mothers featured in #KinayaNiMama, a digital documentary series by the GMA Public Affairs for Mother's Day 2019.

Soon after her story turned public, netizens sent messages to GMA, asking how they can help Nanay Sinta.

Well, well: We're only too happy to report that since Mother's Day, Nanay Sinta has been able to open a bank account and get her home renovated, thanks to the kindness of strangers.
