Teacher turns school bathroom into colorful reading corner for less than P100

With just P100, public school teacher Reynel Calmerin turned one of the bathrooms at the Polomolok Central Elementary School, South Cotabato into a colorful and one-of-a-kind reading corner.

Using old and broken school chairs, Calmerin designed and renovated the old bathroom. Calmerin himself sawed, painted, and attached all the designed wood to the walls.

Asked how the renovation cost him just less than P100, Calmerin said in a report on GMA News TV's SONA,  "'Yung nagastos ko lang is half kilo na pako at saka varnish po na natural."

"Noong natapos ko, parang sabi ko parang may kulang pa. Nilagyan ko na po ng mga books, nilagyan ko na po ng ilaw," he added. — MDM, GMA News
