Heavy EDSA traffic inspires funny hugot from netizens

The heavy traffic in EDSA caused delays in the commutes of people, many of whom took to social media to vent their frustration.

Ivan Mayrina's report on Balitanghali on Wednesday showed passengers, drivers and commuters stuck for almost four hours due to the non-moving traffic caused by confusion over the yellow lane policy on EDSA.

On social media, it resulted in a bunch of hilarious hugot lines.

Justine Magtoto said, "Umalis ako ng bahay si Alden Richards kamukha ko. Dumating ng office, aba naging Jose Manalo" while DJ Delos Reyes Gadon commented, "Well. Yung papasok ka palang pero itsura mo mukhang pauwi na."

Levison Fernandez also said, "Sa sobrang traffic 'pag dating ko ng bahay magbibihis na ulit ako pampasok sa work..."

"Sa sobrang traffic mas mabilis pa maglakad kaysa sa umasa ka na mahalin niya ko," Kyle Joshua Blanco Apao II commented.

Joeriel Hidalgo Morales even said, "Sa sobrang traffic hindi ko na namalayan na masaya pala siya sa iba."

Meanwhile, Victor Quiachon jokingly said, "Mahal ko na ung katabi ko sa sobrang trapik...hahaha"

Michael Pascua also said that he was able to befriend his seatmate because of how bad the traffic was.

At least something good happened to Luck Salinas because of the traffic. He said, "Sa sobrang traffic nakumpleto ko ang 8 hours na tulog ko."

Although netizens have come to social media to make fun of the heavy traffic, numerous citizens continue to question when the traffic in EDSA will be eased. —Kaela Malig/JST, GMA News
