This child came as a headless saint for a Catholic Church's 'Halloween' activity and he's gone viral

It's that time of the year again when children dress up in costumes and ask for candy.

Netizens, however, were delighted to see a little boy child in Hermosa, Bataan dressed up as a beheaded martyr, realistically looking like he was carrying his own head.

According to the Saint Peter Martyr of Verona Parish, Jaldred Paulo Jaring was portraying St. Denis the Martyr, and his  costume was created by an architect named Michael Corpuz.

Jaldred was among at least 29 kids who took part in a "Parade of Saints" in Hermosa on Sunday, October 27.

In an interview with GMA News Online, the Parish said they conduct the yearly activity to "catechise and to teach the people, especially our parishioners the true essence of 'Halloween'."

Nevertheless, they were "very happy" to learn that Jaldred's costume caught a lot of attention on social media. — Margaret Claire Layug/LA, GMA News
