Mayon Volcano looks extra stunning with an 'umbrella cloud' swirling around its perfect cone

Doesn't Mayon look extra special with a rare umbrella cloud wrapping around its perfect cone? 

Netizen Ian Rodrick Ogama was able to capture a rare sight of Mayon Volcano's perfect cone shape capped with white clouds surrounding it at around 5 p.m. yesterday.

The umbrella cloud is called a lenticular cloud. It forms when air moves over mountains and cools enough for condensation to happen.

Last April 23, Noli Luna was also able to capture a photo of Mayon Volcano with the same cloud formation. — Ma. Angelica Garcia/LA, GMA News
