Dingdong commended the artist and said he hopes to see the artwork in person when things get better, after the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) threat in the country.
"When this is over, baka naman puwedeng makita in person? Gujab ka, parekoy! " he added.
In an interview with GMA News Online, James said he used hard plywood as his canvas, Ding Dong wrappers, scissors, and glue.
James said he started by sketching an outline, and thenhe glued the pieces of wrappers onto the plywood to form the image of Dingdong.
"'Yong iba po diyan eh binili ko po sa tindahan pang-snacks, at iba po diyan ay pinulot pulot lang po para ma-recycle at may use po," James narrated.
James said making art using pieces of plastic wrappers is one way to recycle.
"Para 'yong plastic na akala natin basura po ay pwede pala siyang gawing art," he said. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
