Turmeric plants blossom in Rizal reforestation area after the rain
Hundreds of white turmeric plants at a reforestation site in Baras, Rizal, started to blossom with pink- and yellow-colored flowers last week.
A YouScooper from Masungi Georeserve, an eco-tourism site located at the foothills of the Sierra Madre, shared some photos.
Turmeric is a flowering plant that belongs to the ginger family.
According to the uploader, the flowers at Masungi Georserve bloomed after several days of rain in the area.
The turmeric plants have also been giving off a pleasant mango-like smell.
Meanwhile, in Quezon City, the lane of fire trees at University of the Philippines Diliman campus were also in full bloom.
